Tactical Resupply (TACRES) Development & Demonstration. Systima Technologies has been asked to submit a proposal in response to a whitepaper submitted by AgileCast and Systima to the Office of Naval Research for their Tactical Resupply (TACRES) system. AgileCast is providing CONOP development, wargame experimenation, and operational and business-case analysis for this effort.

Joint Recovery and Distribution System (JRaDS) JCTD. AgileCast is working with the Government (Tank and Automotive Command and Combined Arms Support Command), Boeing Advanced Mobility Interface Systems, and AES for a proposed Fiscal Year 2009 Joint Capability Technology Demonstrator (JCTD). The austere-port opening, intermodal logistics transfer, forward distribution, and tactical-vehicle recovery capabilities to be demonstrated are embraced by the "Joint Recovery and Distribution System (JRaDS)." AgileCast will shoulder lead responsibility for CONOP/TTP development, experimentation and demonstration planning, and operational and business-case analysis.

SRCAV Joint Capability Technology Demonstration (JCTD) Update. AgileCast has been appraised that the Carter Aviation/AgileCast Fiscal Year 2008 JCTD candidate remains among 21 finalists competing for OSD/Combatant Command and Service sponsorship. The JCTD proposal is designed to demonstrate advanced joint-warfighting capability within three years, and leverages the unique aerial platform capabilities of CarterCopter’s slowed-rotor compound aircraft technologies—to include unprecedented range, payload, speed, and endurance for a rotary-wing UAV system. Special sensor payloads have been proposed for demonstration aboard SRCAV that respond to existing Joint Urgent Operational Need for deployed forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. SRCAV remains the #1 JCTD priority of US Central Command.

Northrop-Grumman Directed Energy Contract Extension. We were pleased to receive an additional contract extension from Northrop-Grumman Space Technologies (Redondo Beach, CA) for CONOP-development, experimentation, and system-engineering support for directed-energy capabilities.

Death of Dave Mock. We were stunned by the sudden passing of Lieutenant Colonel (USA, Ret) David C. Mock—our Corporate Vice President and Chief Operations Officer. Dave was the consummate business professional, whose hallmarks were razor-sharp intelligence and intuition, moral courage and compassion, and the unmistakable candor of his convictions. He will be sorely missed.

FCS Technologies Directed Energy SIMEX. Dr. John House spearheaded AgileCast support to the Air and Missile Defense Battle Lab (AMDBL) and CAS, Inc. for a five-day simulation exercise to evaluate the utility of lethal and non-lethal directed-energy technologies during urban combat and stability operations. The experiment is sponsored by the Army’s Future Combat Systems Technologies office in Vienna, VA.

Mark started the Tidewater, VA, office of Whitney Bradley & Brown; built the Joint Operations and Future Combat Systems practice of Navigator Development Group into a multi-million dollar business during the past five years; and has 27 years' of distinguished service in the Army.

J2EE development. AgileCast has been awarded a J2EE software development contract, working for Reverber8 on a Jakarta-Struts application to provide enterprise security resource planning and management. Fujitsu's operations in Richardson, TX, will be the first customer for the product.
